The Keystone Junior Hockey League is proud to announce the nominees for the annual Top Rookie Award. This award is presented to a first year player who has contributed significantly to his teams success. Voting is done by all of the leagues teams. The nominees are as follows:
Dawson Osborne, #77 Cross Lake Islanders - Dawson lead a young Islanders team in rookie scoring this season. In 27 games, he scored 11 goals and added 15 assists for 26 points. In his final regular season game, he scored a hat trick and added an assist for his first four point night!
Frederick Ledoux, #18 Norway House North Stars - The Flin Flon product and first year player made quite the impact this season for the North Stars leading the team in scoring! In 31 games, he put up 23 goals and 45 assists for an outstanding 68 points. With a fair few multi-point efforts, he had one game with 4 goals and another with a hat trick. He recently scored the OT winner in game one of the play in series against the Islanders!
Keelian Levasseur, #87 Peguis Juniors - Keelian had a great season for the Juniors and finished second on his team in scoring. In 29 games, he put up 38 goals, added 29 assists for an impressive 67 points. He had three standout games in which he scored 6,5 and 4 goals respectively. A valuable contributor on a veteran-laden team, Keelian will be looked to continue his torrid pace in the playoffs for the Juniors!

A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
As the President of the Keystone Junior Hockey League, ahead of the start of a new season, I would like to acknowledge all of the hard work of the KJHL Executive Board, all of the team Governors, General Managers and Coaches on a job well done these past couple of seasons and the importance of keeping Junior Hockey alive and well in the North for our younger generation. The level of competition each team brings makes for exciting hockey, and any team can beat any team on any given night. We are excited for the start of a new season!
