The Keystone Junior Hockey League is proud to announce the nominees for the annual Top Goaltender Award. This award is presented to the best goaltender in the league. Voting is done by all of the leagues teams. The nominees are as follows:
Braedin Melstad, #1 NCN Flames - The backbone of the Flames team, Braedin once again led the league in save percentage this season with a stellar .896. He also led the way in goals against average compiling a 3.76 GAA. He even put up two assists for the high scoring Flames. Finishing second in wins with 17 while putting up one shutout, the Flames head into the playoffs in second place and will look to do some damage with Melstad in net.
Nolan Sinclair Jr., #31 OCN Storm - in 24 appearances for the Storm this season, Sinclair Jr. would finish third in the league with a 5.22 goals against average. He would have one shutout over the course of the season while notching a top five .862 save percentage.
Tyrese Bear, #35 Peguis Juniors - leading the league in wins is no easy task, but Tyrese did just that this season compiling 22 wins in his 28 games played. He would also put up a solid 4.54 GAA with an .871 save percentage for the first place Juniors who will look for another deep playoff run on the back of the stellar play of Bear!
Congratulations to all the nominees and best of luck!
